Comparison

Profound measures.
We change the pages
it is measuring.

Profound is the best measurement platform in this category and we tell clients to keep it. What no dashboard does is get a human editor to change a page you do not own, and that is the whole of what GetMOW does, in B2B software only. If you can already see which roundups decide your category and have nobody free to go and work them, this is the comparison you are actually making.

How the two differ

Profound measures. We change the pages it is measuring.. GetMOW against Profound, row by row.

Who does the workWe do. We build the target list, write the pitch, contact the editor, argue the case and report what came back. There is no workflow for your team to run and no credits to spend.Your team inside the platform, or an agency you hire. Profound’s Agents run research, writing and publishing in one cycle, and every Agent run includes an approval step before anything publishes, so a person still reviews and ships. Profound also keeps a directory of 19 partner agencies under the heading “Skip the learning curve of AI Search and find an expert.”
Which pages get changedPages you do not own: the comparison roundups, review site category pages and directories the models quote when a buyer asks who to consider. We name the specific URLs, your position on each, and which of them can be edited at all.Properties you own, through ten CMS integrations including Webflow, Contentful, Sanity and WordPress. For third-party pages there is one automated route: since May 2026 the Noble node exports citation gap domains to Noble, a separate publisher network that runs outreach, drafting, negotiation and payment, securing a mention as either a fixed price placement or a reverse mention.
MeasurementA dashboard comes with the engagement, not sold separately: your visibility score, what has changed on each target page, and the approval workflow for every pitch before it goes out. It is a record of the work itself, in more detail than a generic tracker gives you; it is not Profound’s nine-engine daily read, which is the other half of this row.Best in the category, and the honest reason to buy it. Nine engines including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek, captured from the consumer front end rather than APIs, across 30+ languages and 150+ regions, with every tracked prompt run daily because, in their words, AI platforms do not return the same answer twice.
What it costsEngagements start at €5,000, which buys a 49 day proof phase: the baseline, the map of the sources shaping your category’s answers, the plan, and one qualifying mention on a relevant third-party site that neither of us owns. Miss that mention by day 49 and the €5,000 is returned in full. Past the proof phase the implementation is quoted before it starts, and two payments across the first year fall due only once the target attached to each has been verified.Starter $99 a month billed yearly: ChatGPT only, 50 prompts, one seat, no exports. Growth $399 a month billed yearly: three engines, 100 prompts, three seats, CSV and JSON exports. Enterprise is custom priced and Profound publishes no figure, so we do not repeat anyone’s guess at it. The pricing page shows yearly billing only.
What the usual plan coversThe engine mix is a scoping decision rather than a price tier, and since we never sell our own tracking, we simply work from whatever export you already have, nine engines or one.Worth reading before you buy. Starter tracks ChatGPT alone and Growth tracks three engines. The full nine engines, multi-company tracking, the API, SSO and Projects are Enterprise, which is the tier with no published price. A team that wants Claude and Gemini coverage is looking at that tier.
FocusB2B software only. The citation physics of that vertical are specific: Overthink Group’s 2026 study of 250 niche B2B software categories found Reddit accounts for 1.4% of citations on B2B software prompts, while 70.8% of citations go to pages with “best” or “top” in the title.Horizontal by design. The Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) teams page names no vertical, the examples run from accounting software to developer tools, and the deepest execution module, Shopping, tracks retail SKUs.
Risk of buying from usHigh on paper, and we will not dress it up. GetMOW is new, small and largely unknown, with no funding to point at and no published customer list. What stands in for that is the refund at day 49 and a dashboard that shows exactly what changed and when, target by target.Low. A $96M Series C at a $1B valuation in February 2026, led by Lightspeed, with Fortune reporting more than 700 enterprise customers, around 10% of the Fortune 500, and $155 million raised in roughly 18 months. Enterprise carries SOC 2, SSO and SAML and a named specialist on a 24 hour SLA.
Running bothThe intended shape. Bring the Profound export. We work the gaps it names on pages you do not own, our dashboard tracks the approval workflow and the change log target by target, and Profound keeps running its own nine-engine read alongside it.Built for it. Profound’s Citations feature classifies every source as Owned, Competitor, Earned Media, PR Wire, Social or Institution and tells you to build outreach lists from top cited publishers. That output is the input an execution agency runs on.

Which one you want

You can see the gap and have nobody to close it

A B2B software company that has already run Profound, or its free report, and now holds a list of publishers it has no way to reach. You want position inside the roundups that decide your category rather than presence somewhere, you want it earned editorially rather than bought as a fixed price placement, and you have no content lead, technical SEO and publisher relationships sitting idle. You are buying labour and category judgement, backed by a dashboard that shows you exactly what changed and when.

You need measurement, breadth, procurement safety, or just want to check first

Buy Profound instead of an agency, or before one, in four cases. If measurement is the need, nine engines daily across 150+ regions with licensed prompt volume data are something no agency deliverable replaces. If you already have content, SEO or PR headcount, Agents give that team more reach for $99 to $399 a month than hiring an agency would. If procurement wants SOC 2, SSO and a vendor with $155M raised, Profound has the easier answer and we do not. And if you only want to find out whether you have a problem at all, spending $99 there is a better first move than hiring us.

What people ask

Does Profound do the work for me, or do I still need an agency?
Profound executes on properties you own and can buy third-party placement through a partner network, but it does not itself perform earned media work. Its Agents publish into your CMS with an approval step, so somebody on your team still reviews and ships, and for third-party pages the Noble node hands outreach to a publisher network that secures paid placements. Profound also lists 19 partner agencies for teams that want the work done for them.
How much does Profound cost?
Profound publishes Starter at $99 a month and Growth at $399 a month, both billed yearly, and shows yearly billing only on its pricing page. Starter covers ChatGPT alone with 50 prompts and one seat; Growth covers three engines with 100 prompts and three seats. Enterprise, which is the tier carrying all nine engines, the API and SSO, is custom priced and Profound does not publish a figure.
Can Profound get my company added to the listicles ChatGPT cites?
Profound identifies those pages precisely and offers one automated route to a placement on them. Its Citations feature classifies sources as Owned, Competitor, Earned Media, PR Wire, Social or Institution, and since May 2026 the Noble node exports the citation-gap domains from that list to Noble, which runs outreach, drafting, negotiation and payment to secure a mention as a fixed price placement or a reverse mention. Editorial inclusion argued with a human editor is a different route to the same page, and it is the one GetMOW works on.
Profound’s own research says B2B software gets only 11.4% of its citations from earned media. Does that not undercut GetMOW?
Profound’s July 2026 analysis of 11.84 billion citations found roughly 57% of AI citations go to brand owned sites, and that software companies see a median 11.4% of citations from earned media, the lowest bucket in the study. Publishing that number rather than hiding it is the honest position, and it bounds the claim rather than killing it: the 57% “brand owned” figure counts every vendor’s site collectively, including your competitors’, so most of it isn’t citing you specifically, which means the 11.4% earned-media share is concentrated in the citations you can actually go win. Build your owned pages first. The third-party work is the lever once they are already good.
Do I need to cancel Profound to hire GetMOW?
No. Profound’s citation classification produces exactly the input this work runs on, and its nine-engine tracking is broader than anything we build ourselves, so keeping it is still worth it. Alongside it you also get GetMOW’s own dashboard as part of the engagement, showing your visibility score, what has changed target by target, and the approval workflow for every pitch.
What is Profound better at than GetMOW?
Measurement, breadth and durability, and it is not close. Nine engines tracked daily across 30+ languages and 150+ regions, prompt volume data licensed from consumer panels, server log crawler analytics, ten CMS integrations, SOC 2 and SSO at Enterprise, $155 million raised and more than 700 enterprise customers. GetMOW has none of that and is not trying to build it.
What is GetMOW better at than Profound?
Getting a human editor to change a page you do not own, in one vertical. GetMOW works only with B2B software companies, targets the specific comparison roundups and review site categories that decide a shortlist there, earns edits editorially rather than buying placements, and reports back with before-and-after answer transcripts and your position inside named pages. Profound is horizontal and its deepest execution module tracks retail SKUs.
